CHRISTIANS HAVE SOMETHING TO REJOICE ABOUT
|
.The Christian has something to rejoice about. This means to be joyful about, or to be delighted with. “We will rejoice in your salvation, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners! May the LORD fulfill all your petitions.”(Psa. 20:5)We have a great Savior, who demonstrated great love for lost man.His interest in us ought to fill our hearts with joy. God’s willingness to save us and rescue us from sin is the best thing in the whole wide world. For the word is more valuable than anything this world has to offer. For when heaven and earth passes away, the word endures, and abides forever.
rejoice in the wrong thing. They rejoice over doing harm to another, and cheating a person, not realizing that they shall reap what they have sown. Others rejoice over sinful pleasure, and evil desires. The Christian rejoices in God’s word. Listen to David, “I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great treasure. (Psa. 119:162)As God has allowed us to see this New Year 2011, we ought to rejoice and praise God. This is very important in our walk with Him. For He is there to guide us through the many trials, and tribulations we experience. It might seem to be irrelevant but be assured that rejoicing in God, and His word brings great joy, and happiness. Christians do not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth. (1 Cor. 13:6)
